Q: The 7.5 hour school day will allow my child to finally have the daily Physical Education courses he/she needs for fitness and learning?

A: Fiction! CPS has announced no plans to hire additional PE teachers or increase the instructional minutes for PE. They have lumped PE in with arts in the guidelines for instructional minutes, and as far as we know will continue to ignore the state mandate for daily PE in Illinois.
