CPS admits private student data shared with Noble charter for mass marketing | 12.4.16

The CPS Inspector General launched an investigation after CPS parents who received postcards questioned how Noble charter school had access to child's name, home address, and current school.

Many parents reported to RYH in September that their children were receiving recruitment mailers from the Noble charter network. Parents went to the Board of Ed and the press to report this, and the IG launched an investigation.

On November 17, CPS sent letters to families stating that someone at CPS leaked student data to Noble. CPS does not have a good policy protecting student data at this time. RYH will push for a policy to ensure our students’ privacy is protected.
