Raise Your Hand Testifies at Illinois State Board Hearing alongside PEER IL Coalition Members
The Illinois State Board held various virtual hearings on public education funding for next school year. On Monday, 1030, ISBE held it’s last hearing. RYH is part of the coalition Partnerships for Equity and Education Rights (PEER IL). We believe ISBE has the responsibility to fully fund Evidence-Based Funding by 2027, and therefore, ISBE must invest $1.4 billion in Evidence-Based Funding to close the gap for EBF. With a looming financial cliff and CPS facing a $3.9 million budget deficit at the end of this year, it is imperative that ISBE invest more than the $350 million minimum.
